Christmas Gifts

Of all the things I thought I wanted for Christmas, and of all the things I got, the one that I least expected is the one that I'm the most greatful for.

I hadn't really realized it before, but in marrying Sam I'm gaining not olny a husband, but another set of parents, 12 siblings, their spouses, and 22 nieces and nephews. Coming from a family of 4, that's A LOT, and at first it was intimidating, but now I'm realizing what a blessing it is.

For Christmas this year I got more family. More people to love and be loved by, sisters that I never had untill now, and nieces and nephews that I get more attached to every time I see them.

It's the most amazing Christmas gift I could ever recieve.

I am engaged :) My amazing Sam proposed to me on Temple Square on Saturday, and we're hoping to get married in February

thought of the day

I'm constantly reminded of why i love the radio station air1 (90.5). they always have a thought that seems like it's especially for me exactly when i need it.
I had a moment like that today on my way to work. They were talking about the future and being afraid of the unknown. they said that eventhough it's human nature to want to control life, it's not always possible, and as long as we follow Christ everything will be alright.

so, blogging... i started one because it seemed like a good substitute for myspace lol. plus it's a good way to update family and friends (and maybe keep some rumors in check lol)
